A Special Papa Champion Fundraiser Update

The WEL NGO Team hosting Papa Champion

As you know from our previous posts, the Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders (WEL) NGO is collecting funds through their Papa Champion project to provide tables and desks to the Tona Girls School. As you probably recall, we also support the St. Genevieve Welcome Center in Katiola, where children who do not have family support are provided care and education.  We raise funds for medical and school supplies and for a Christmas party and gifts for the children. St. Genevieve has recently received 7 special-needs children ages 6-13 who were shunned from their villages. They will be provided care and education from the Welcome Center staff. They are in need of funds to support all of the children currently in their care.

Owner and President of Koné Consulting, Alicia Koné, alongside children at The St. Genevieve Welcome Center.

Like previous years, Koné is fundraising this year for both WEL and St. Genevieve. This year we are pleased to share that WEL is also raising funds for young women and girls at the St. Genevieve Welcome Center, and will be distributing backpacks with school supplies on November 25. Both of WEL NGO's efforts are being sponsored by Save the Children and UNICEF, as well as Koné Consulting.

If you are so inclined, any donation would be deeply appreciated and 100% of all donations made through Koné Consulting will go directly to these organizations (50/50) to help the young adults and children they are serving. A small portion of the funding will also go toward a holiday party at St. Genevieve for the kids in December.
